Modern Slavery & Human Trafficking Policy
Effective period: 26 February 2026 – 25 February 2027
1. Purpose & scope
This Policy sets out HARRISON-AI MEDICAL PTY LTD’s (Harrison-AI) commitment to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking in its operations and supply chains and explains how concerns may be identified, reported, and addressed.
This Policy applies to all persons working for or on behalf of Harrison-AI in any capacity, including employees, directors, officers, agency workers, secondees, volunteers, interns, agents, contractors, consultants, third-party representatives, suppliers, and business partners (collectively, Workers).
2. Our commitment
Modern slavery is a crime and a violation of fundamental human rights, including slavery, servitude, forced or compulsory labour, and human trafficking.
Harrison-AI is committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all business dealings and to implementing and maintaining effective systems and controls to ensure that modern slavery does not occur in our operations or supply chains.
Harrison-AI is committed to transparency in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, and expects the same high standards from its contractors, suppliers, and business partners. This includes prohibitions on forced, compulsory, or trafficked labour; slavery or servitude; and exploitation of adults or children.
3. Roles and responsibilities
The Board of Directors has overall responsibility for ensuring that this Policy complies with applicable legal and ethical obligations and that effective governance and oversight arrangements are in place.
The Chief Operating Officer (COO) has primary responsibility for implementation, effectiveness monitoring, responding to queries, and auditing internal controls to counter modern slavery.
Managers must ensure their teams understand and comply with this Policy and receive regular training on it and on modern slavery risk in supply chains.
All workers must read, understand, and comply with this Policy and avoid any activity that could lead to a breach.
4. Reporting concerns
The prevention, detection and reporting of modern is the responsibility of everyone working for or under the control of Harrison-AI.
Workers must promptly report any actual or suspected breach of this Policy, or any circumstances that may give rise to such a breach.
Concerns should be raised as soon as reasonably practicable by notifying your manager, or reporting the matter in accordance with Harrison-AI’s Whistleblowing Policy.
If you are unsure about whether a particular act, the treatment of workers more generally, or their working conditions within any tier of our supply chains constitutes any of the various forms of modern slavery, raise it with your manager.
Harrison-AI aims to encourage openness and will support anyone who raises genuine concerns in good faith under this Policy, even if they turn out to be mistaken.
Harrison-AI is committed to ensuring no one suffers any detrimental treatment as a result of reporting in good faith their suspicion that modern slavery of whatever form is or may be taking place in any part of our own business or in any of our supply chains. Detrimental treatment includes dismissal, disciplinary action, threats or other unfavourable treatment connected with raising a concern. If you believe that you have suffered any such treatment, you should inform the compliance manager immediately. If the matter is not remedied, and you are an employee, you should raise it formally to the COO or through our Grievance Procedure set out in the Employee Handbook.
5. Training and communication
Training on this Policy, and on the risk our business faces from modern slavery in its supply chains, forms part of the induction process for all individuals who work for Harrison-AI, and regular training will be provided as necessary.
Harrison-AI’s commitment to addressing the issue of modern slavery in its business and supply chains must be communicated to all suppliers, contractors and business partners at the outset of our business relationship with them and reinforced as appropriate on an ongoing basis.
6. Breaches of this policy
Any employee who breaches this Policy will face disciplinary action, which could result in dismissal for misconduct or gross misconduct.
Harrison-AI may terminate our relationship with other individuals and organisations working on our behalf if they breach this Policy.
